Hamilton admits Ferrari ‘just not quick enough at the moment’

The sweeping curves of Suzuka usually reward the brave, but for Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari, Friday’s opening sessions felt more like a delicate balancing act on a tightrope. As the sun dipped behind the Japanese venue’s grandstands, the seven-time world champion was left pondering a gap to the front that remains stubbornly wide, due to a car that simply isn’t “quick enough” according to the Briton.
