Vettel ‘sleeping' for first lap spin

Sebastian Vettel completed his first day’s running at Barcelona covering 489km over 105 laps on the third day of the second winter test. The day didn’t have a great start however, as Vettel’s first out lap saw him spin at turn 5, resulting in a red flag. Once the German was able to resume running, he managed a fastest time of 1:26.407 on medium tyres, which placed him 5th in the day’s final standings. The team stated that today was spent focussing on reliability over long runs. “This morning I probably was not yet awake and coming out of the pits on cold tyres, I spun.
