‘Critical' week for Haryanto
Rio Haryanto could learn this coming week whether his sponsorship has landed him a Manor race-seat for the 2016 F1 season. The 23-year-old had been told he needs a 'payment of 15 Million Euros' to even be in the running for a drive with the Mercedes-powered team. The money has been promised through his sponroship from state-owned oil company Pertamina as well as the Indonesian government via the Indonesian Sports Council (KONI). 'I really hope for the best that my dream will come true,' Haryanto told the Jakarta Post. Youth and Sports Ministry spokesman Gatot S. Dewa Broto was also in attendance and explained that Haryanto would need to pay a down payment of 3 million euros while the rest...
