Hamilton on new Mercedes: 'It looks like a boat'
Three time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton reckons it will take some time to get use to the new shapes and designs of the 2017 Formula 1 cars, after labelling the new Mercedes F1 car as 'a boat'. Formula 1 is set for a regulation revamp this year, which will feature wider tyres, wider cars, enhanced aerodynamics; the team bosses reckon the changes for this year will result in cars lapping ‘5-seconds a lap faster'. Hamilton believes the situation of 2017 car designs will be similar to that of 2009, wherein at first the designs looked absurd following the design of the cars during his championship-winning year, however later on everybody got used to it.
