Grosjean, Palmer get five-place grid drops

– Haas' Romain Grosjean and Renault's Jolyon Palmer have both been hit with five-place grid penalties for the Chinese Grand Prix, after failing to slow for yellow flags.Antonio Giovinazzi crashed out exiting the final corner during the closing stages of Q1, and stewards deemed that neither Grosjean nor Palmer sufficiently slowed for doubled waved yellows.Grosjean and Palmer were unable to set times quick enough to progress through to Q2, qualifying 17th and 18th respectively, but stewards decreed they did not slow enough.Stewards' notes read: "The video evidence clearly showed that the driver(s) attempted to set a meaningful lap time after passing through a double waved yellow...
