Lewis Hamilton quickest in FP2 before rain hits Belgium

Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton set the pace during the second practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix, before rain fell at Spa-Francorchamps. Hamilton held a substantial advantage after the initial laps and preserved a comfortable buffer after the field switched to Ultrasoft tyres. Hamilton’s lap of 1:44.753 was 0.262s quicker than Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, who clocked the fastest time during the morning session. Valtteri Bottas finished third for Mercedes while Max Verstappen still took fourth despite locking up into La Source.
