Official! McLaren split with Honda, sign Renault deal
After months of speculation, McLaren and Honda have confirmed the end of their relationship with the Woking team signing with Renault in a three-year deal. Struggling to score points throughout their three-year partnership, McLaren's frustrations with Honda boiled over this season. That led to speculation about their future with McLaren bosses acknowledging that they couldn't continue without the prospect of podiums and race wins, and that maybe it was time had come to call it quits on the endeavour.
