Mercedes wraps up 2017 F1 constructors’ title at US GP

Mercedes has been crowned Formula 1 constructors’ champion for the fourth consecutive season after moving into an unassailable lead in Sunday’s United States Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton stormed to his ninth win of the season in Austin on Sunday after perfecting a one-stop strategy to finish over 10 seconds clear of Ferrari rival Sebastian Vettel. With teammate Valtteri Bottas taking P5, Mercedes extended its lead over Ferrari by a further two points at the Circuit of The Americas and clinch the constructors’ title in style.
