Hamilton: Knighthood would be ‘incredible honour'
Lewis Hamilton has said he would be 'incredibly honoured' to receive a knighthood from the Queen after winning a fourth World Championship title. Hamilton has now become the most successful British Formula 1 driver of all-time as he sealed the crown in Mexico City. The Brit has already been awarded an MBE in 2009 and now the bookies have slashed the odds on him being included in the New Year's Honours List. “I would enforce it,” Hamilton mused. “I would be like ‘Excuse me it’s ‘Sir’. “I’ve got friends who are Sirs, and I call them Sir.
