Hamilton edges Vettel in second practice – FP2 Report
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton beat Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel by less than two tenths of a second in FP2 at the Yas Marina Circuit. Following Vettel's time-topping free practice one, the Ferrari man found himself pegged back by 2017 world champion Lewis Hamilton. With lap times reducing by well over one second, Hamilton emerged as the fastest man with a 1:37.887, edging Vettel by 0.149 of a second. Daniel Ricciardo's time of 1:38.180 was three tenths off Hamilton's pace, however the Red Bull driver's time was set on his second timed lap of the Ultra Soft tyre, leaving question marks over the team's pace compared to Mercedes and Ferrari.
