Alonso favours IndyCar-like orange for 2018 McLaren F1 car
Fernando Alonso says he would like his 2018 McLaren Formula 1 car's colours to echo that of the IndyCar livery he raced in last year's Indianapolis 500. Contesting the famous race for the first time, Alonso led 27 laps in his McLaren-Andretti Autosport Honda before engine failure took him out of the fight for the lead in the closing stages. When asked by Motorsport.com if he had seen the livery for the upcoming campaign when speaking at a NASCAR media day, Alonso said: "No, not [seen it] yet – but we'll see.
