1.5 Second A Lap Slower For 2019

Slower cars for 2019 The FIA has said that it expects the 2019 Formula One cars to be 1.5 seconds a lap slower than the 2018 cars. The 2019 cars will undergo an aerodynamic change in a bid to allow the cars to follow more closely. According to the FIA's Head of Technical Matters Nikolas Tombazis,it will come at the cost of lap times. The cars will run a simplified front wing with a larger span, a wider and deeper rear wing and simplified front brake ducts with no winglets.
