On This Day: Michael Schuamcher breaks leg in Silverstone crash

Michael Schumacher's leg-breaking crash ended his British Grand Prix and 1999 Formula 1 championship hopes on this day 19 years ago. The Ferrari great spun off the track trying to pass team-mate Eddie Irvine at Stowe corner, slamming into the barriers with enough force to fracture the tibia and fibula in his right leg.
