Lewis Hamilton suffers German GP setback after Q1 hydraulic problem

Lewis Hamilton is set to start from 14th on the grid at Formula 1's German Grand Prix after suffering a hydraulic failure during Q1 at Hockenheim. Hamilton slowed in the closing stages of Q1 and was told to halt his Mercedes W09, which he did at the exit of Turn 10. Hamilton briefly tried to push his car back to the pit lane but ultimately abandoned such a tactic, and crouched disconsolately beside his stricken W09 after it was wheeled into a safe place by marshals. The stoppage came moments after Hamilton ran wide through Turn 1, briefly catching some air, though it is not yet known if the two incidents are connected.
