Alonso dropped to back of grid

Fernando Alonso will start from the back of the grid after suffering yet more engine penalties for McLaren. The Spaniard is the fifth driver to receive penalties for power unit part replacements and will join the two red Bulls and Toro Rossos at the back of Sunday’s grid for the Russian Grand Prix. Alonso has taken a new internal combustion engine, turbos, MGU-H and MGU-K as he enters the final six races of his F1 career. Alonso called time on his illustrious career back in the summer break and only has six races left in the sport before he searches for success elsewhere.
