Axed Sirotkin to test for Audi DTM
Sergey Sirotkin could be given a potential lifeline by Audi after being confirmed for a DTM test in Jerez. The Russian is looking a fresh start after being axed by Williams in favour of Robert Kubica for the 2019 season. Sirotkin was unable to give a true account of his performance levels as he battled with a very uncompetitive FW41 throughout the 2018 campaign. He scored just one point at the Italian Grand Prix, once Romain Grosjean's disqualification was upheld, leading to his backers, SMP Racing, wanting a cut-price deal to keep his seat for 2019.
