Mazepin to test for Mercedes in Barcelona
Nikita Mazepin will make his first official appearance for Mercedes this week when he represents the team at in-season Formula 1 testing in Barcelona. Mazepin, 20, previously tested an F1 car with Force India before cutting ties with the team after its sale to the Racing Point consortium, but has since been conducting a private testing programme with Mercedes, as well as racing in Formula 2 for ART Grand Prix. Mazepin will get his first run in the Mercedes W10 car on Wednesday in Barcelona, completing Mercedes' young driver allocation for the in-season tests.
