Japanese GP results revised after Chequered flag error

Formula 1 governing body FIA were forced to revised final results of the Japanese GP following the chequered flag was waved one lap too early. Japanese Grand Prix circuit – Suzuka race was originally set to run to 53 laps, but the chequered signal was displayed on end of lap 52. The mistake gives rewards to Sergio Perez, who crashed on the 53rd lap of the race, has been classified in ninth place. Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg is classified 10th instead of ninth while Force India team-mate Lance Stroll will not score a point, finishing 11th instead of 10th.
