WMSC adds to Ferrari-gate tensions - endorses FIA stance
The World Motor Sport Council took sides with the FIA on Friday, predictably endorsing the governing body's settlement with Ferrari and opposing the statement released this week by seven F1 teams. Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren, Renault, AlphaTauri, Racing Point and Williams joined forces to condemn a confidential agreement signed by the FIA and Ferrari. In a statement released this week, the seven teams believe the lack of transparency regarding the FIA's investigation into the legality of the Scuderia's 2019 power unit calls into question the sporting authority's governance and integrity.
