Vasseur indicates that McLaren's fate concerns him too

When McLaren withdrew from the Australian Grand Prix on Thursday, one of the other teams to first vote not to race was Alfa Romeo Racing. The team's principal Fred Vasseur has now explained it wouldn't have been fair on the Woking-based team. All teams came together on Thursday night in Melbourne, where they had to vote whether they wanted to continue the Australian Grand Prix or not following the withdrawal and the coronavirus concerns. For Alfa Romeo, the choice was quite an easy one.  "You have to think first of your employees, the safety of the fans, the image of the sport and the sponsors," Vasseur tells Motorsport-Total.com.
