UK teams launch ‘Project Pitlane' to develop ventilators
The UK government have confirmed that seven F1 teams have launched 'Project Pitlane' to develop ventilators to help coronavirus sufferers. It comes after the government called for assistance in the development of ventilators and medical equipment to help the worst-affected sufferers from COVID-19 which attacks the lungs. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, BWT Racing Point F1 Team, Haas F1 Team, McLaren F1 Team, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, Renault DP World F1 Team and ROKiT Williams Racing, who are all based in the UK, will combine their efforts under 'Project Pitlane' and focus on three key workstreams.
