DAS steering 'not easy to reproduce' - Marko

Jul.23 Dr Helmut Marko thinks Mercedes will hold on to a significant advantage in 2020 by running the 'DAS' push-and-pull steering wheel system. Red Bull's protest against the technology, which will be banned anyway in 2021, was rejected by the FIA at the opening round of the season in Austria. The energy drink owned team had announced that, as a result of the rejected protest, it would now start work on a similar system for the 2020 Red Bull. Marko told motorsport-magazin.com: "The biggest advantage of this system is that it is much easier to get the tyres to the right temperature.
