Pirelli outlines tyre choices for entire 2021 F1 season
Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has outlined the compound choices it has made for all of the 23 grands prix planned to take place in 2021. Pirelli has been Formula 1’s sole tyre supplier since 2011 and under current regulations has five dry-weather compounds, from which three are taken to every event. They range from C1 (hardest) to C5 (softest) and are labelled Hard, Medium and Soft at each event. Formula 1 drivers have 13 sets of tyres available for each race weekend, and must run either the Hards or Mediums in the race, and save one set of Softs for use only in Q3.
