F2 star joins Alpine as reserve driver for 2022

Article To news overview © Alpine Oscar Piastri, 20, joined the Renault Academy last year, before winning the F3 championship. The young Australian is currently leading the F2 championship, having won three races up until now. With Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon both signed for 2022, Piastri has been promoted to reserve driver. Piastri is excited about his new role, in which he will complete a 'extensive testing programme in order to keep developing and be more prepared for a race seat.
