Verstappen reacts to lapping Hamilton in Imola
Max Verstappen was coy on lapping Sir Lewis Hamilton at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix as the pair experienced highly contrasting fortunes in the race. Verstappen achieved the grand slam out front as he claimed a dominant victory from Sergio Perez, securing Red Bull’s first one-two finish since the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix. Hamilton, meanwhile, was battling to try and break into the top 10 when he got caught up behind the Aston martin of Lance Stroll, and he would then lose out in the pit stop phase to Alex Albon and Pierre Gasly, and he spent the rest of the race running in P14.
