A 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR ‘Uhlenhaut Coupé' has become the world's most expensive car when it was sold for a whopping 135,000,000 (yes 135-million euros!) by RM Sothebys this week The car is a cornerstone in the history of Mercedes-Benz chronology, second of two adaptations of the race-built 300 SLR made in coupé form by designer, Rudolf Uhlenhaut, earning this car its 300 SLR ‘Uhlenhaut Coupé’ moniker.
