Jordan: Russell now 'top dog' at Mercedes not Hamilton
Eddie Jordan believes that the balance of power at Mercedes has shifted from Lewis Hamilton's side of the garage to newcomer George Russell, who he says surprised all since his promotion from Williams. After seven rounds as a fully-fledged Mercedes driver, Russell has proved to be one of the standout performers in an often out of sorts car, nevertheless outshining seven-time F1 World Champion teammate Hamilton in the process by 34 points so far this season. Regarding 24-year-old Russell's performance relative to 37-year-old Hamilton, so far this season, Jordan told Channel 4: 'I think it's a big surprise, everybody globally, in Formula 1 context, thinks that Lewis Hamilton is top dog....
