Wolff: Not quite there but we're getting closer

Toto Wolff believes his Mercedes team are inching closer to victory, their first of 2022 after a below-par start to their Formula 1 season, the goal is to challenge Ferrari and Red Bull for wins in the remaining nine races. Mercedes made a meal of the first half of this year, but have gradually clawed their way back with Lewis Hamilton finding good form again and Mr Consistency, George Russell delivering with the non-winning package they have. Apart from not winning a race after 14 rounds, the first time since 2012, reigning F1 constructors' champions Mercedes are third in the championship standings but a massive 127 points behind Red Bull and 30 adrift of Ferrari.
