Maloney joins Sauber Academy as Stake F1 reserve

Sauber Andrew Lewin 31/01/2024 at 14:0131/01/2024 at 14:46 Formula 2 driver Zane Maloney has signed up to become the newest member of the Sauber Academy driver development programme, where he will share reserve driving duties at Stake F1 with F2 champion Théo Pourchaire. The 20-year-old Barbadian racing driver will combine his new duties with a second campaign in F2 for Rodin Motorsport, having finished his rookie campaign tenth in the standings after clinching four podiums in 2023. Previous to that, Maloney was runner-up to Victor Martins in the 2022 Formula 3 championship by just five points having clinched three wins in his one and only season in the support series.
