Mercedes’ Pin rules in opening F1 Academy race in Jeddah

Phillip van Osten 08/03/2024 at 15:3008/03/2024 at 15:26 Mercedes-supported driver Doriane Pin enjoyed a lights-to-flag win from pole position in Friday’s opening round in Jeddah of the all-female F1 Academy series. The Prema charger took a clear-cut win but was hounded for all her worth during the 12-lap event by Alpine’s Abbi Pulling who clocked in under a second behind Pin, with Ferrari protégé Maya Weug completing the podium. Pin will be looking to double her points tally on Saturday when she lines up on pole for Race 2.
