FIA introduces new Super Licence rules

Red Bull/Getty Images The FIA has introduced new Super Licence qualification regulations, which will be introduced from the start of 2016. Amid concerns that drivers were able to obtain Super Licenses with ease, revised rules will come into effect, the most prominent being that a driver has to be 18 years old to qualify. That means that while 17-year-old Max Verstappen is still permitted to race for Toro Rosso in 2015, future youngsters will have to wait until they are 18 before they can qualify for a Super Licence.
