Alonso 'OK and conscious' after crash
McLaren's Fernando Alonso has had a heavy crash during the final day of the pre-season test at Barcelona. Circuit De Catalunya officials say the two-time champion hit the wall on the exit of the 150mph Turn Three. An ambulance was sent to the scene of the accident but Alonso, 33, is said to be 'OK and conscious'. The incident happened shortly before the lunch break of the test on Sunday. It is unclear whether Alonso made a mistake or something broke on the car. A statement from the circuit said: 'Fernando Alonso crashed in the end of Turn Three.
