Bahrain Qualifying: Hamilton on pole as Vettel takes fight to Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton was untouchable in qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix, claiming pole position with a scintillating final lap which was over half a second up on his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg and enough to dislodge Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel from the top of the timing screens. Kimi Raikkonen was fourth in the second Ferrari, followed by the Williams of Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa. Seventh place went to Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo, with Force India’s Nico Hulkenberg, Toro Rosso’s Carlos Sainz and Lotus’s Romain Grosjean completing the top ten.
