Ecclestone remains steadfast on Monza threat

Bernie Ecclestone remains firm on the threat facing the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, insisting he is willing to allow the iconic venue to slip from the Formula 1 calendar after 2016 if a new deal cannot be reached. One of the sport's oldest and most historic venues, Monza faces the axe following next year's event as organisers struggle to come to a new agreement with the commercial rights holders over a new contract.
