Palmer ends Barcelona test on top

– Jolyon Palmer ended the first in-season test of 2015 on top of the times after he posted a late lap on the Super Soft tyres in the Lotus E23 Hybrid at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Wednesday.Lotus reserve Palmer had spent much of the day mid-pack but his late lap of 1:26.080 on the softest tyre compound available hauled him to the top of the order, four-tenths faster than Mercedes reserve driver Pascal Wehrlein.Wehrlein, who had topped the times for the majority of running, was the most productive driver as he racked up 137 laps in the Mercedes.Pierre Gasly recovered from a stoppage in the afternoon session to post the third quickest time in the Red Bull RB11, a day after...
