Honda confirming which parts are most effective
Honda F1 motorsport chief Yasuhisa Arai would not say exactly when they will begin to use the tokens, but it will not be done at the very end of the season. Also, they identified the key areas it wants to spend its tokens to develop its power unit. McLaren's engine supplier still has in its possession the 9 ‘tokens' it was awarded at the beginning of the year by the governing FIA, which can be exchanged for in-season performance upgrades. “We don’t have the complete plan to use the tokens, which areas and when,” Arai is quoted as saying by f1i.com. “We already prepared or confirmed which areas are the most effective.
