Pirelli ready to bid for new Formula 1 contract

Pirelli will seek to extend their Formula 1 tyre contract from 2017 onwards provided they are happy with the regulations and costs are affordable, chief executive Marco Tronchetti Provera said in Monaco. Formula 1's governing body issued a tender this week for a sole supplier from 2017-19. 'We intend to stay if the regulations are the ones we agree upon, and if the costs are affordable, and the guarantees we want to have in the contracts are accepted,' Provera told reporters.
