Manor adds Leimer in reserve role
The Manor Marussia F1 team has signed Fabio Leimer as a reserve driver for the remainder of the 2015 season. The 26-year old won the 2013 GP2 Series title but found F1 opportunities hard to come by, instead reverting to sportscar racing, latterly with the Rebellion team. The Swiss ace, who claimed his crown with Racing Engineering, is also a former Formula Master series champion, having previously competed in both Formula Renault 2.0 and Formula BMW ADAC. “We're delighted to welcome Fabio to our team," team principal John Booth said, "We always keep a close eye on drivers competing in the feeder series and their potential for making the step up to F1.
