Vettel and Hulkenberg reprimanded by stewards
Sebastian Vettel and Nico Hulkenberg have been reprimanded by the race stewards for crossing the pit lane entry line in FP3 at the Red Bull Ring. Both drivers cut across the white line during the final free practice session for the Austrian Grand Prix on Saturday – with Daniil Kvyat having been punished for a similar offence on Friday. F1 race director Charlie Whiting told drivers ahead of the weekend that they could not enter the pit lane if they were not inside the entry line at Turn 8. A note sent to teams said: “For safety reasons drivers must keep to the right of while line preceding the pit entry, this line starts 50 metres before Turn 8.” The race stewards decided to give...
