Bottas: We can t afford to have weak tracks

Valtteri Bottas has played down questions about the competitiveness of the 2015 Williams by suggesting that the team has instead missed out on better results through its preparation decisions. The Finn enjoyed six trips to the podium in 2014 as Williams staged a remarkable recovery from the F1 doldrums, but has appeared in the top three just once this season as the FW34 struggles to keep pace with the all-conquering Mercedes. Team-mate Felipe Massa has two top threes in twelve races, and currently sits fourth - two places ahead of Bottas - in the championship but, with Ferrari showing more consistent form and a couple of unexpected top three appearances from the likes of Romain Grosjean...
