Rosberg unconcerned by prospect of Singapore-style slump

Nico Rosberg says he doesn't believe Mercedes is in for a slump akin to that of the Singapore Grand Prix after few conclusions could be drawn from the opening day of the Russian Grand Prix. With delays and disruptions hampering FP1 after an oil spill and rain washing out FP2, little could be gleaned from the laps completed by the drivers and teams around the Sochi Autodrom. With just the hour-long FP3 session left to set the car up for qualifying, some are suggesting Mercedes could find itself on the back foot with the super-soft/soft compounds, much like it did in Singapore when it was comprehensively out-paced by Ferrari and Red Bull on the same tyres.
