Mercedes engine customers will get exact same power unit

Mercedes will supply each of its engine customers with its latest power unit ahead of the 2016 season. The team came in for some criticism when it refused to offer then customers Williams, Lotus and Force India its latest spec following a major upgrade at the Italian Grand Prix. Mercedes insisted it was because they were exploring a new development direction and couldn't guarantee reliability, as well as the inability to produce enough parts. However Andy Cowell, managing director of Mercedes high performance powertrains, has promised Williams, Force India and Manor will receive the very latest engine for the season opener in Australia next month.
