Wehrlein's debut undone by degradation
Pascal Wehrlein has revealed that tyre degradation and braking issue hampered him in the later stages of Sunday's Australian Grand Prix. The Manor rookie contested his debut Formula 1 grand prix at the Melbourne circuit on Sunday, finishing 16th, last of the runners. It was, however, a solid showing from the DTM Champion as he put in an error-free race despite suffering with tyre degradation and later brake troubles. 'First of all it’s great to finish my first race and thanks to the team for that,' he said. 'I got a fantastic start and I was very happy to find myself in 15th place at the end of the opening lap.
