Sky gets exclusive UK rights from 2019

– Sky Sports has announced that it has obtained the exclusive rights to broadcast Formula 1 in the United Kingdom from the start of the 2019 season.Sky Sports currently broadcasts all races live on its dedicated channel, but as part of the six-year deal signed in 2012, half of the races are shown live on a terrestrial channel, with the remaining events available as highlights.The new deal, which will see Sky Sports as the sole broadcaster in the country, will run from 2019 to 2024, with the British Grand Prix available live on a free-to-air channel, the details of which have not yet been confirmed."I am delighted that we will continue to work together," said Formula 1 CEO...
