Chinese karting star joins Renault young driver academy
15-year-old Chinese karting ace Sun Yue Yang has joined Renault F1’s young driver academy, becoming its fifth member. Jack Aitken, Louis Deletraz, Kevin Jorg and Oliver Rowland were previously confirmed at the Renault Driver Academy earlier this season. The Shanghai-born racing driver is currently fifth in the World Series Karting Champions Cup and also competes in the WSK Super Master Series. Fred Vasseur, Racing Director of Renault Sport Racing, said: 'The Renault Sport Academy is a highly beneficial tool for young drivers,' said racing director Fred Vasseur.
