Claire Williams awarded an OBE
Williams deputy team principal Claire Williams has been appointed an Officer of the Order (OBE) in the Queen's 2016 Birthday Honours List, announced on Friday. Claire, the daughter of team co-founder Frank, joined the F1 team in 2002 as a communications officer before becoming head of communications in 2010. She was appointed director of marketing and communications in 2012 before being named deputy team principal a year later. Williams, 39, has helped the team return to the top three in the standings in 2014 and 2015 after a dismal 2013 season.
