Ricciardo: Traffic scuppered race prospects

Red Bull/Getty Images Daniel Ricciardo reckons getting stuck behind rivals compromised his prospects of achieving a stronger result at the Canadian Grand Prix. Ricciardo started from fourth place on the grid but was overhauled by team-mate Max Verstappen at the start, as the pair attempted to negotiate Nico Rosberg when the Mercedes driver re-joined the circuit. Ricciardo was unable to pass Max Verstappen and after a second stop later in the race he emerged behind Kimi Raikkonen, ultimately finishing in seventh place.
