Bite-size tech: Red Bull blown axle blank

Red Bull examined a setup with the RB12’s blown axle blanked off during FP3. A conical cap, which appeared to have small outlets in it, was placed inside the axle in order to limit the amount of air that was expelled. Only Max Verstappen ran the solution whilst Daniel Ricciardo continued to use the standard blown axle configuration, which both drivers reverted to for qualifying.
