Ericsson eyes gains on Ultra Soft tyres

– Sauber's Marcus Ericsson says he hopes to make progress with the Ultra Soft tyre prior to qualifying after encountering difficulties during practice in Singapore.Pirelli has elected to bring the Ultra Soft, Super Soft and Soft tyres to Marina Bay this weekend, with the company estimating a performance gap of 0.9s/lap between the purple and red banded compounds.Ericsson was unable to improve his quickest lap time on the Ultra Soft tyre and wound up almost a second adrift of team-mate Felipe Nasr."In the session I had a good feeling on the Super Soft tyres," he explained."But for some reason on the Ultra Soft compound I struggled to get them to work."So far we do...
