Zak Brown poised to take McLaren role - report

 XPB Images Zak Brown has opted to take up a role with McLaren rather than with F1's new owners Liberty Media, according to a report. Sky News - which broke news of Ron Dennis' appearance at the High Court and impending departure - reports Brown has informed Liberty Media he will be joining McLaren, turning down a role which would have seen him helping to run the sport itself. The report claims Brown "has signed a deal to take a senior executive role" at McLaren, although says it is unclear what the exact title will be due to former McLaren Technology Group CEO and chairman Dennis being on gardening leave until his contract expires in January.
